Jeremy Miklas
ARTIST BIO:When I was young I would draw my own crude take on horror movies I watched. Then in the early 1990’s when my family bought a PC, I would use Windows Paint to scribble my own album covers for my imaginary bands. I focused on visual arts track in high school where I was taught the fundamentals of art. Initially in college I could not find a focus but eventually enrolled in the University at Buffalo’s environmental science program. Here, in a field ecology class, I reconnected with my artistic spirit by hand sketching detailed images for 100 species of tree, shrub, bird and mammal which was submitted as the main class grade. Field ecology class is what I feel informed my creative path as well as my current working style. I love being in the vast outdoors where my experiences hiking, mountain biking and exploring inspire me to create!
